I absolutely despise mornings. I have so much more energy at night and honestly, my mind doesn’t fully function before 10:00 a.m. Since my job warrants me to get up earlier than I want to, I knew that I had to adjust and make a lifestyle change.
Night owls, like me, are familiar with the struggle of feeling tamad and dragging yourself out of bed every morning. Good thing, I discovered a way to learn how to love mornings.
Here's my secret: As soon as I wake up, I think of one thing to get excited about.
Curious as to how this helped me? Here’s how and why you should try it:
The thing doesn’t exactly have to be huge. It can be as easy and mundane as getting excited about the fries that I’ll have for merienda. On other days, I think about my cute OOTD and how it will get compliments from my workmates. Whatever it may be, just make sure that it’s something that will motivate you to get out of bed.
Hold on to it
Think of your ~*thing*~ as the “light at the end of the tunnel during a bad day,” or as “an extra bonus in a day that's already good.” Promise, even if this small feat seems like such a tiny thing, if you hold onto it, it can become your driving force to conquer your day!
Make sure you actually accomplish it
As soon as you wake up, make a promise to yourself that you will get your thing today. After all, ito yung nagpa-bangon sa’yo—might as well make sure that you attain it, right?
