Heads up, commuters.

The railway management for the Light Rail Transit Line-2 (LRT-2) has issued a statement about its earlier operations beginning October 14, 2019, Monday.

"This will be the new LRT-2 revenue service hours starting Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, as partial operations from Cubao to Recto and back continue," the tweet read.

In order to accommodate more passengers, the LRT-2 will be opening an hour earlier at 5:00 a.m. for its partial operations covering Araneta-Center Cubao to Recto station, and vice-versa. The last trip from Araneta-Center Cubao is at 8:30 p.m., while that from Recto station is at 9:00 p.m.

Following a fire that broke out on October 3, LRT-2 had to close its Santolan, Katipunan, and Anonas stations for repairs that will take nine months. The train line resumed partial operations on October 8.

Due to the number of commuters hampered by the closed stations, on-demand app-based motorcycle taxi service Angkas has been offering free rides between the train line's route of Santolan to Recto (and vice-versa).

Students can avail of their free rides on board the train line between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and between 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Monday to Friday, except on holidays.
