Her hair has become longer since then, and she's been doing a great job maintaining its shape as it's growing out. She recently went back to Jing Monis Salon to get a trim, and her once edgy haircut was upgraded to a voluminous asymmetric pixie cut with carefully placed highlights.
The result reminds us of a chic French girl, and in our honest opinion, that is how you properly grow out a pixie. You avoid awkward lengths by embracing shaggy layers and asymmetric bangs. If you're not into sun-kissed highlights like what Sue has, you can give your tresses a 3D look by adding texture via a matte pomade, styling wax, or volumizing mousse. Doing so prevents your apple cut from looking boring and dated.
And in case you haven't noticed, Sue has full cheeks. This nullifies the belief that girls with round face shapes can't pull off shorter styles like a pixie! Getting the right chopt 'do that flatters your features and makes you feel 100% really depends on your stylist's skills and more importantly, YOUR SELF-CONFIDENCE.
