  2. Her career began while she was still in high school.
Like other actresses, Han Ji Min started out as a model in commercials and music videos from 1999 until 2003. Then, she appeared in All In and Dae Jang Geum; in All In, she portrayed the teen counterpart of Song Hye Kyo's character. Her breakout role came soon after, in the 2005 drama, Resurrection. She did such a great job that she won the KBS Best New Actress award.

For a few years, she was known for her sweet or innocent roles in projects like Blue Swallow, Invincible Parachute Agent, Capital Scandal, and Yi San. Rooftop Prince, a fantasy rom-com about a prince from the Joseon era who time travels to the 21st century, is one of Han Ji Min's successful dramas—so much so that she became more popular in Japan.

Arguably her most memorable project is the 2018 film, Miss Baek. Ji Min played an ex-convict dealing with all the social stigma that comes with it. Her portrayal was so stunning, she won the Best Actress award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and Baeksang Arts Awards. 3. Her view of acting has shifted since her twenties.
In the early days of her career, like many of us, Han Ji Min thought that it was better to stick to a specific track, to follow a clear path of what is expected. In an interview with Edaily, she said, "When I was in my twenties, I used to have a fixed idea of 'I'm this kind of person,' and I tried not to deviate from that frame. If I had kept that up, I wouldn't have been able to do projects like Miss Baek. As people get older, they can change to adapt to a situation, and I also think that they need to make transformations if it’s necessary. I prefer the me of today, who has found courage, to me when I was in my twenties when my view of the world was very limited."

  4. She was actually drunk in those scenes in Miss Baek.
In the movie, she is an ex-convict who feels protective of a young girl who has also been forced out of society. During a press conference in 2018, Han Ji Min shared that she actually consumed alcohol before shooting those drunk scenes: "I think the most natural way to act like a drunk person is to actually get drunk, so I drank before filming for this project. I can't do that when filming a drama because there's not a lot of time, but I actually drank when acting drunk for films. If the frank and straightforward emotions that I feel while drinking are in harmony with the scene, it will make it more realistic for viewers."
