According to Soompi, his entertainment agency, Gold Medalist, has released a statement about the rumor: “Finger is one of the casting offers Kim Soo Hyun has received. He is currently reviewing [the offer].” Film director Jung Ji Woo will oversee the entire production while Han Ji Wan, who also penned the 2016 thriller-crime drama, Wanted, will write the new Netflix series. If Soo Hyun accepts this acting proposal, he will reportedly play the role of an interior designer-slash-sociopath with dissociative identity disorder. The filming for Finger will start by spring next year.
The actor’s latest project is the top-rating drama It’s Okay To Not Be Okay, where he transformed into Moon Gang Tae—a caregiver at a psychiatric hospital who has his own share of emotional burdens. His remarkable portrayal in the said drama catapulted him to the top of the list of the August drama actor brand reputation rankings.
Kim Soo Hyun is set to join the lineup of the esteemed 2020 Asia Artist Awards on November 25, along with his It’s Okay To Not Be Okay co-star, Seo Ye Ji.
