Can't get over the matcha trend? We feel you. From pudding, to a dalgona-whipped drink, to truffles, and even pan de sal, the matcha flavor has definitely branched out (pun intended). If you have a sweet tooth, why not try the newest matcha dessert trend: Mango-Matcha Mochi (say that three times fast, lol).
Try this genius recipe we found on TikTok! Here are the ingredients for the mango filling:
- 1/3 cup whipping cream
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Fresh mango
Start by scooping out your mango, then whip together cream and sugar. Fold the diced mango into the whipped cream, roll the mixture into little balls, and place them in the freezer. Then prepare the following ingredients:
- 100g glutinous rice flour
- 50g sugar
- 180ml water
- 1 tsp matcha
Whisk everything together until it's combined, then microwave (or steam!) the mixture. Dust everything with cornflour, split the mochi into even pieces, then wrap and pinch it shut around the whipped cream mango balls. Ta-da, you're done!
