Relationships can be tricky. There are times when our partner pisses us off to the point that we never want to see them again. Well, for a few hours anyway!
There is a difference, however, between a normal lover's quarrel and a relationship that is just not right for you. Confused?
If you are dating someone and it just does not feel right, then it might be better not to waste your precious time and open up your life to new possibilities. Here are the top 10 signs it's time to cut the relationship cord and move the fuck on.
You can't seem to introduce them to your friends and family.
Whether it's because they are avoiding it or you don't want to, both are warning signs that something just isn't right.
He doesn't listen to you.
Having your needs understood, acknowledged, and acted upon is essential. If your partner does not listen to you, it may be time to move on.
He wants your time 24/7.
If you are dating someone who is too clingy, dependent, or wants your time 24/7 and makes you feel like you can't breathe in the relationship, its a warning that you need to end it.
You can't be your real self.
If you feel the need to act like someone else other then your true self around him, it's never going to work.
You don't have the same interests.
This doesn't mean that he should like everything you like, and vice versa, but you should at least have some similar interests. If you have absolutely nothing in common, then there is no common ground for you to start building a relationship from.
Spending time with him is exhausting.
If you find yourself mentally and emotionally drained after your dates, you may need to think about ending it as it is not a good sign.
You can't have difficult conversations.
Not like those are ever easy in the first place, but if he avoids them like the plague, then he is just not emotionally ready, period.
He is too self-centered.
If it's all about him and not at all about you, it's time to move on.
You feel you are not good enough.
We all have our insecurities and you don't need someone to make you feel even more insecure. Being in a relationship means that you are with someone who empowers you, not someone who makes you feel worse.
You can't see a future with him.
If you can't even imagine this, then it's not going to happen. Your future is the very thing you're working toward. If you can't see him in your future, then drop him.
