Most of us think that using a primer is just an extra and unnecessary step in our makeup routines. That is, until we saw this photo:
Our skin naturally has textures—pores, fine lines, facial hair—and makeup primer acts like a cement that fills in these micro gaps to create a smooth canvas for our foundations, BB creams, tinted moisturizers, or concealers. In the pic, the orange peel represents our complexion and you'll notice how the base makeup looked evenly-distributed on the side with a primer on.
This goes to show that you'll only need a bit of foundation + concealer to cover imperfections because the primer has done half the job for them. A cool bonus: Your makeup will stay on for a longer period, too!
