As we know by now, K-drama heartthrob Nam Joo Hyuk will be starring in an upcoming Netflix Original series, The School Nurse Files. The quirky fantasy series is about a school nurse named Eun Young (played by seasoned actress Jung Yu Mi) who happens to have a secret ~supernatural~ gift that makes her see monsters, aka "Jellies," that are invisible to everyone else. Joo Hyuk stars as Classical Chinese Literature teacher Hong In Pyo who helps Eun Young along the way. Curious to know more about his new leading lady? Where have we seen Jung Yu Mi before?
The 37-year-old star's acting credits are impressive! Her most well-loved dramas are the rom-coms I Need Romance 2012 (2012) and Discovery Of Love (2014). Yu Mi has mainly focused on doing films throughout her acting career and even starred in three critically and commercially acclaimed ones with longtime friend Gong Yoo: Silenced (2011), Train To Busan (2016), and Kim Ji-Young: Born 1982 (2019) for which she was nominated for Best Actress at this year's Baeksang Arts Awards.
She recently appeared in a reality show with Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik!
She's under the same management company as other big-time actors.
