After the success of Itaewon Class, Park Seo Joon's next project seems to be just as promising. The actor is in talks to star alongside Jun Ji Hyun in an upcoming K-drama titled Mount Jiri, according to a report by Hallyu entertainment news site Allkpop.com.
The series, which is set to begin filming around late 2020 or early 2021, will be written by screenwriter Kim Eun Hee, who also penned Signal and Kingdom. "Jirisan" or "Mount Jiri" is the working title, and the show's producers are reportedly finalizing the rest of the cast.
"Park Seo Joon's role would be as Kang Hyeon Jo, a rookie national park ranger who is hiding a secret. He used to be a lieutenant in the military and lost his successor during a training march on Mount Jiri," Allkpop.com reports. Meanwhile, Ji Hyun is set to play the character of Seo Yi Kang, who would eventually become "the only person he can confide his secrets to."
Should the drama push through, Mount Jiri will mark Ji Hyun's major comeback since her work on Legend Of The Blue Sea three years ago.
