Before Goblin started airing back in December 2016, fans anticipated it as Gong Yoo's comeback drama. Everyone had high hopes, too, because the screenwriter was Kim Eun Sook, who is also behind other hit series like Descendants Of The Sun (2016) and The Heirs (2013). Eventually, the fantasy romance raked in high viewer ratings and amassed fans from all over the world. Locally, it was dubbed in Tagalog by ABS-CBN and aired twice in 2017.
Wondering where the actors and actresses are now? Here's what the cast members of the epic K-drama Goblin are up to now. Siri, play "Stay With Me"!
1. Gong Yoo
This 41-year-old oppa-slash-ahjussi played Kim Shin, a lonely and great god. Over the centuries, he interacts with humans and seeks to find his bride who will end his immortality. Kim Shin's life takes a major turn when he meets Ji Eun Tak, a high school student who might just be the bride he's looking for.
In October 2019, his movie entitled Kim Ji-young, Born 1982 premiered in South Korea. He starred with actress Jung Yu Mi, whom you might remember as the pregnant woman in Train To Busan (2016). The movie is based on the novel of the same title. Gong Yoo played the role of Jung Dae Hyun, the husband of Kim Ji Young.
In 2020, Gong Yoo played the lead role in the sci-fi movie Seo Bok, alongside Park Bo Gum, which is reportedly the first film about human cloning. Gong Yoo fans will also be thrilled to know that he will be joining the star-studded cast of another upcoming movie, Wonderland.
We're also looking forward to Gong Yoo's next show, a Sci-Fi Netflix original called Sea Of Silence. We can't wait for this one!

2. Kim Go Eun
Kim Go Eun played the unforgettable role of Ji Eun Tak, a high school student who has always lived a difficult life. Despite the hardships, however, she remained positive, cheerful, and charming, and she brought light to everyone she met, including a lonely god and a creepy grim reaper.
After Goblin, Kim Go Eun starred in the coming-of-age film Sunset In My Hometown (2018) with Park Jung Min. In 2019, she starred opposite Jung Hae In in the Netflix Original, Tune In for Love.
In 2020, Go Eun appeared as Jeong Tae Eul in the most popular Netflix drama of the year, The King Eternal Monarch. She was also part of the short film, Untact, which was filmed entirely using a smartphone. Yup, you read that right.
3. Lee Dong Wook
Initially, his character was a nameless grim reaper who was supposed to be Eun Tak's sundo. Eventually, he meets the goblin, becomes his housemate, and befriends Eun Tak, too. He later called himself Kim Woo Bin at her suggestion when he meets a woman named Sunny (Yoo In Na).
Lee Dong Wook reunited with his onscreen partner in Goblin through the drama, Touch Your Heart (2019). We swear, their chemistry is really something else!
In October 2019, Dong Wook visited Manila for the #LoveKorea Culture & Travel Fiesta, much to the delight of his Pinoy fans!
In that same year, he was the host for boy group survival reality show Produce X101. He also starred in a 10-episode psychological thriller called Strangers From Hell (2019), where he played a dentist working near a creepy dormitory.
In 2020, Lee Dong Wook ~transformed~ into a *gorgeous* gumiho in the K-drama Tale Of The Nine-Tailed. So gwapo!
4. Yoo In Na
This beautiful actress played Sunny, a fried chicken restaurant owner who fatefully encounters Eun Tak, Kim Shin, and her adorable ~*Kim Woo Bin-sshi*~.
She played another entertaining role in Touch Your Heart: An actress who had to work in a law office for a role. If you thought Sunny was funny, Oh Yoon Seo is on a whole other level.
When she's not busy acting and shooting commercials, she's usually spotted bonding with and supporting her bestie IU.
In 2020, she led in the K-drama The Spies Who Loved Me, where she revealed that the genre is the reason why she accepted the role: "I found the mix of romance, action, thrill, and comedy to be refreshing.”
Yoo In Na fans, get ready to see more of our girl in 2021 because she was just recently confirmed as a cast member of the new K-drama Snowdrop, starring BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Jung Hae In, and Kim Hye Yoon. Yay!
5. Yook Sung Jae
The K-pop idol from BTOB played Lee Deok Hwa, the spoiled chaebol grandson in Goblin. Throughout the series, you see him doing stuff for his samcheon Kim Shin in the hopes of getting his credit card.
Since 2017, Yook Sung Jae has been in the variety show All The Butlers (aka Master In The House). He does all sorts of challenges with his castmates, including the actor Lee Seung Gi. In the same year, he also formed a group called The Pretty 95s with fellow K-pop idols. Leading the young and handsome crew, he shows more of his candid side in their self-entitled web variety show.
Before he enlisted in the military in May 2020, Sung Jae gifted his fans with his K-drama, Mystic Pop-Up Bar where he became Han Kang Bae. He will be discharged from service in November 2021.
The Other Goblin Cast Members
It's impossible for you to forget Park Jung Won, the advisor of King Wang Yeo who later on became a walking dead nightmare for Kim Shin. The character was played by Kim Byung Chul, who portrayed another annoying character in another mega-hit, SKY Castle (2018). In 2019, he starred with Lee Dong Hwi in Pegasus Market (2019). (Trivia: He's a soft-spoken guy IRL! Just look for his variety show interviews on YouTube!).
Lee El played the mysterious lady-in-red who turned out to be Samshin, the goddess of life and childbirth. After Goblin, she played roles in A Korean Odyssey (2017 to 2018) and When The Devil Calls Your Name (2019).
The young King Wang Yeo was played by Kim Min Jae. You have also seen him (in less fancy hanbok) in the drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency (2019) and Do You Like Brahms (2020).
Meanwhile, Kim So Hyun, who played the young Queen Kim Sun, starred in the Netflix series Love Alarm (2019). She is also leading the historical series River Where The Moon Rises along with Jisoo and Kang Ha Neul.
