We’re down to eight episodes of the top-rating Netflix series, Start-Up, and it’s been all over our feed in the past weeks! No complaints though—we totally love the story of how start-up companies begin their journey. Add to that the heartwarming and heartbreaking family ties, and not to mention the super nakakalig side story that had us torn between being on #TeamGoodBoy or #TeamDoSan.
We are *so* obsessed with the K-drama that we already hoarded Sand Box shirts, discovered the perfect second lead song for Han Ji Pyeong (Kim Seon Ho), and also introduced his child version! Today, we found out something *really* interesting: A netizen has pointed out the Start-Up characters are named after subway stations in South Korea!
First, there’s Dalmi Station where Seol Dal Mi (Bae Suzy) most likely got her name:

There’s also the *new* love of her life, Nam Do San (Nam Joo Hyuk) named after the Dosan station:

Of course, Dal Mi’s pen pal (our current favorite second lead Han Ji Pyeong) also has his subway counterpart:

And even Dal Mi’s sister, Won In Jae (Kang Han Na)!

Who can forget the rest of the Samsan Tech Team? There are also subway stations similar to the names of Kim Yong San (Kim Do Wan) and Lee Chul San (Yoo Soo Bin)!

While I’m here, let me just thank the show’s writer, Park Hye Ryun (who also wrote Dream High, Pinocchio, and While You Were Sleeping) for coming up with this mind-blowing info. We stan an intellectual ~kween~!
You can watch new episodes of Start-Up on Netflix every Saturday and Sunday night at 9:30 p.m.
