Netflix's Squid Game has been collecting trophies left and right and its most recent achievement has something to do with our ~number one~ gganbu! Oh Young Soo, aka Player 001 or Oh Il Nam, is the first Korean actor to receive a Golden Globe award.
On January 9, the veteran star was recognized as Best Supporting Actor by the major awards show for his role in the psychological thriller. He bested The Morning Show's Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass, Succession's Kieran Culkin, and Ted Lasso's Brett Goldstein.

Like the true gganbus that they are, the cast of Squid Game did not forget to congratulate Oh Young Soo via Instagram! Park Hae Soo shared a photo of the actor wearing his iconic tracksuit on his IG stories.

Lee Byung Hun made a reference to his character in the drama and wrote: "This is the Frontman speaking, 'Bravo!'". He uploaded a photo of Oh Young Soo along with Squid Game's creator, Hwang Dong Hyuk.

Kim Joo Ryoung congratulated Oh Young Soo through a behind-the-scenes photo of him, and she wish for him to always be healthy.

Heo Sung Tae posted a photo of Oh Young Soo and he mentioned in the caption that he looks up to him.

Anupam Tripathi uploaded a selfie of them together + a solo pic of Oh Young Soo, and echoed the same thoughts as Heo Sung Tae. "An inspiration for me, I also look up to you to be better in my craft. Thank you for being a guiding force for us. Congratulations," he wrote.

The congratulatory post that made us sob so hard is from Lee Jung Jae. He wrote that it's an honor to have had worked with him in Squid Game, and he ended his caption with "From your gganbu." *wipes happy tears*

Oh Young Soo is currently part of the play Freud’s Last Session and his cast members organized a celebration for him—complete with a cake, colorful decors, and a pink crown. So precious! Lee Sang Yoon posted the pic on his IG stories.

Congratulations, Oh Young Soo! Meanwhile, Squid Game is confirmed for a second season and WE ARE SO EXCITED. Click here for more details.
