This year's celebrity breakups weren't just about endings—they were about growth, timing, and choosing yourself when it matters most. Whether shared quietly or announced publicly, these moments showed that even love in the spotlight isn't always meant to stay the same. Here are the biggest celebrity breakup announcements of the year.

After six years together, Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto confirmed that they have ended their relationship. The announcement was made through their respective management teams, Star Magic Philippines and Viva Artist Agency.

"Star Magic confirms that Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have mutually decided to end their relationship," the statement reads.

Meanwhile, Viva Artist Agency cautioned the public against feeding into speculation or circulating false narratives about what caused the breakup.

"We emphasize that only information coming directly from Julia or Gerald should be regarded as accurate, as they are the primary parties involved. Any other claims are merely attempts to ride on the issue or to spread false information," the statement read.

Gerald and Julia's relationship was first confirmed in 2021 during Gerald's interview with Boy Abunda, and throughout their time together, there were ongoing conversations about whether marriage was in the cards. Julia shared that they weren't in a rush, while Gerald expressed in an interview with Tito Boy that Julia was "definitely the one" and that he saw a future with her.

In November, Ellen Adarna shared a series of Instagram Stories that indicated her relationship with husband Derek Ramsay had ended months earlier.

In the posts, Ellen made allegations regarding Derek's behavior early in their relationship, including claims of infidelity and manipulation. These statements were shared as part of her personal account and reflect her perspective.

In one of the videos she uploaded, Ellen said, "Yeah so diba that was nine-ten days into the relationship. Yes, we were not married that time yet but if he was able to do that in our honeymoon stage, how much more? 3 months, 6 months, a year? God knows right?"

On a podcast episode of Can I Come In, Liza openly shared her story, discussing years of childhood trauma and the experiences that shaped her, including her time with Enrique. "I've been honestly itching to tell people this, because I haven't been very truthful... Quen and I broke up... We've been broken up for almost three years now," Liza disclosed.
