1. Sweet & Sour (2021)

The plot: Just like any other LDR couple, Jang Hyuk (Jang Ki Yong) and Da Eun (Chae Soo Bin) face a lot of challenges as they keep their love alive. They have less time spent with each other and fights happen every now and then. Soon enough, their sweet love story turned sour and one of them fell in love with a workmate. Pretty cliché, right? Wrong! Sweet & Sour's unexpected ending will have you replaying the scenes and staring into space because of its plot twist.
2. Recalled (2021)

The plot: What would you if you discover that your husband murdered someone? In the high-grossing movie Recalled, Soo Jin (Seo Ye Ji)'s life takes a 180-degree turn after she lost her memory. On the other hand, Ji Hoon doesn't believe that she can predict things and thinks that she has a psychological disorder. 3. Forgotten (2017)

The plot: One rainy night, Jin Seok (Kang Ha Neul)'s brother was kidnapped by a group of men. 19 days after, he's back at home but he can't remember anything about his abduction. As time goes by, Jin Seok notices the odd changes in his hyung (like when he saw him with a pencil and is about to stab him), and he suspects that the person who returned is not really his brother. Forgotten is that one movie you'll never forget and will take you on a roller coaster ride.
4. The Witch: Part 1 The Subversion (2018)

The plot: See a different side of Kim Da Mi as the *extraordinary* Ja Yoon (she's more ~savage~ than her character in Itaewon Class) in The Witch: Part 1 The Subversion. They have the ability to look like normal human beings but their superhuman strength is out of this world. Go ahead and watch The Witch: Part 1 while we all wait for its upcoming sequel. 5. Parasite (2019)

A Korean movie list is never a Korean movie list without the Oscar awardee, Parasite (and Choi Woo Shik). This brilliant masterpiece dominated the international scene with its metaphor-filled plot about two families who depict class conflict: One is thriving while the other is barely surviving. The unexpected unfolds when the impoverished Kim family starts working for the wealthy Park clan. If you have already watched and loved this movie, prepare your feels because two sequels are coming according to director Bong Joon Ho!
6. Burning (2018)

The plot: BRB, screaming because the award-winning psychological thriller Burning will soon drop on Netflix! Based on the short story Barn Burning by Haruki Murakami, the plot of this film focuses on three characters: The aspiring writer Jong Soo (Yoo Ah In), his childhood neighbor Hae Mi (Jeon Jong Seo), and a peculiar man named Ben (Steven Yeun). How odd is Ben? He has a strange, ~monthly hobby~, related to the movie's title lang naman.
7. Scarlet Innocence (2014)
Who's in it: Jung Woo Sung, Esom, Park So Young
Where you can watch it: Viu
The plot: University professor Shim Hak Hyu (Jung Woo Sung) moved to a rural town after being involved in a scandal. In his new place, he fell in love with a woman named Deok Yi who's 17 years his junior. A lot of other misfortunes happened during their love affair (including Hak Kyu bribing Deok Yi and leaving her) and after eight years, Hak Kyu slowly loses his vision. In revenge, Deok Yi changes her identity and plans to make him suffer for the rest of his life.
8. The Call (2020)
Who's in it: Park Shin Hye, Jeon Jong Seo, Oh Jung Se, Park Ho San
Where you can watch it: Netflix
The plot: The Call tells the story of two women who live in the same house and they're able to communicate with each other by telephone. But the sitch is they're 20 years apart, with Kim Seo Yeon (Park Shin Hye) living in 2019 and Oh Young Sook (Jeon Jong Seo) in 1999. And did we mention that one of them is a serial killer? The Call is all things violent and gore, and the ending turns darker and darker before the end credits are shown.
